Star attraction at the 1970 Tokyo Motor Show was this car from the research and design staff of the Toyo Kogyo company. Designed as a mobile test-bed for high-speed safety and the use of plastics in automobile bodies, it had a rotary engine mounted ahead of the rear axle.
According to the factory, the 1100 Ib car was capable of 125 mph. A series of multi-coloured lights in the rear end indicated whether the car was accelerating, braking or running at constant speed. The body, more attractive from the front than when seen in side-view, was typical of contemporary styling trends in the field of mid-engined two-seaters.
