La Pontiac CF 428 era un progetto nato con la collaborazione dell'ingegner Paul Farago (la C sta per Coggiola e la F sta per Farago e 428 doveva esprimere la potenza del motore).
Inizialmente fu usato il telaio della Pontiac Grand Prix poi modificato da Paul Farago.

The CF 428 was projected with engineer Paul Farago's consultation (C is for Coggiola, F is for Farago) and 428 express the power of the engine. Initially besides the chassis of the Pontiac Grand Prix was thought about also using the engine of 6998 cc and 395 HP, but he was changed for wanting of the client.
The principal dimensions are (among parenthesis those of the Pontiac Grand Prix): length 5300 mm (5340 mm), width 1935 mm (1920 mm), height 1260 mm (1325 mm).
